Yen Falls Versus Majors Amid FOMC Rate Decision

The Japanese yen edged down sharply against major currencies after the releasing of FOMC interest rate decision at about 12:30 pm ET Wednesday. At 12:35 pm ET, the yen dropped to a new multi-week low of 82.85 against the Canadian dollar, fresh multi-day lows of 81.59 versus the US dollar, 131.67 against the British pound and 84.27 against the Australian dollar from previous session's highs of 82.22, 81.13, 130.57 and 83.81, respectively.

The Federal Open Market Committee or FOMC remained its key interest rate unchanged at 0.0%-0.25%.
