Australia Unemployment Rate Steady At 5.2%

Australia's unemployment rate was a seasonally adjusted 5.2 percent in July, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday - in line with expectations and unchanged from the June reading.

Australia added 14,000 jobs in July, beating forecasts for a gain of 10,000 jobs following the loss of 27,000 jobs in the previous month.

The participation rate was 65.2 percent, missing forecasts for 65.3 percent but unchanged from the previous month.
